Man City midfielder Mahamadou Susoho is in advanced talks to join Peterborough United on loan, sources have told Football Insider.

The 19-year-old is highly regarded within the corridors of power at City and has been away with the first team on their pre-season tour of America this summer.

Peterborough are well placed to sign the defensive midfielder after new talks in the last hours.

A deal for Susoho is now close, which will provide him with the opportunity to play regular first-team football next season.

The teenage sensation has impressed in the Premier League 2, making 12 appearances last season where he scored twice.

Man City loaning Mahamadou Susoho will aid his development

Susoho did feature on the bench several times last season for Man City, and even made a cameo appearance in the Champions League group game against Red Star Belgrade.
