Man City midfielder Mahamadou Susoho is in advanced talks to join Peterborough United on loan, sources have told Football Insider.

The 19-year-old is highly regarded within the corridors of power at City and has been away with the first team on their pre-season tour of America this summer.

Peterborough are well placed to sign the defensive midfielder after new talks in the last hours.

A deal for Susoho is now close, which will provide him with the opportunity to play regular first-team football next season.

The teenage sensation has impressed in the Premier League 2, making 12 appearances last season where he scored twice.

Man City loaning Mahamadou Susoho will aid his development

Susoho did feature on the bench several times last season for Man City, and even made a cameo appearance in the Champions League group game against Red Star Belgrade.

However, regular first-team football will not be available for him at the Etihad next season under Pep Guardiola due to the strength of the squad.

A loan move to Peterborough will provide the midfielder with the opportunity to develop, which will benefit all parties involved in this deal.

Man City

One player who will be staying at Man City this summer is Jack Grealish, despite links claiming he could be headed for the exit doors.
