Piers Morgan has offered a lifeline to the beleaguered US Presidential candidate Donald Trump on his personal Twitter account.

Asked by a fan if he would want Donald Trump to take over at Arsenal, Morgan replied in the affirmative, citing a few conditions.

Morgan has said that while he doesn't agree with everything Trump says, he does consider him a friend.

His response, on his personal Twitter account, might just give Arsenal fans another reason to dislike the outspoken fan, who has been very vocal on Twitter about Arsene Wenger in recent seasons.

Morgan and Sir Alan Sugar are constantly needling each other on Twitter, and Morgan used this tweet to aim another barb towards lifelong Tottenham fan Sugar.

The two clubs have been battling each other in the Premier League recently, with Spurs finishing just behind Arsenal in third place last season.

Spurs challenged for the title but fell away at the end of the season. To date they have never finished above Arsenal in the Premier League, a stat that Gunners fans are proud of.
