Tottenham are likely to recall Kyle Walker-Peters for this weekend's Premier League clash against Crystal Palace after he was spotted back in training, Football Insider understands.

The 22-year-old missed the 2-2 north London derby draw before the international with a minor hamstring injury and was replaced by Davinson Sanchez at right-back.

A Spurs source has told Football Insider that Walker-Peters has been doing outdoor work this week at the club's Enfield training headquarters with the non-internationals and is set to be available for the weekend.

Mauricio Pochettino is expected to slot the academy product back into the team if he is convinced he is fully recovered from the injury.

Walker-Peters started Spurs' first three league matches of the season after the summer sale of Kieran Trippier to Atletico Madrid for £20million.

The former England Under-21 international had been the subject of interest from Premier League clubs during the summer window, including Southampton and Palace.

But Pochettino snubbed loan offers for the full-back and instead placed his faith in him ahead of the likes of Serge Aurier, the ex-Paris Saint Germain man who missed out once again in favour of Sanchez against Arsenal.

Walker-Peters has been part of the senior Tottenham set-up for a number of years but has still made only 22 appearances for his hometown club.
