Pundit issues 'unbelievable' verdict after Tottenham source's Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg update

Tottenham star Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg will struggle to turn down a move to Real Madrid if an offer is made.

That's according to former Leeds United stopper Paddy Kenny, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the midfielder's future.

On Friday (19 August), it was confirmed that Casemiro, 30, is leaving Los Blancos to join Man United.

Carlo Ancelotti still has the options of Luca Modric, Toni Kroos, Eduardo Camavinga, Federico Valverde and Aurélien Tchouameni to choose from when deciding who should start in the midfield.

Kenny claims Spurs will not accept any offer for Hojbjerg at the moment.

"Tottenham have had an unbelievable start, I'm sure they will be pleased with how it has gone," Kenny told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.

"When Real Madrid come calling, it is tough to say no. The club probably don't need or want to sell but from a player's point of view, to turn Real Madrid down, it's hard.

"It depends how settled he is in London and how happy he is at Tottenham. Real Madrid is a massive, massive club, one of the biggest in the world.

"If they come in for him, it will be tough for him to turn that down but I don't think Spurs would sell him in the first place."

Hojbjerg has played every minute of Spurs’ 2022-23 Premier League season.

Last season he featured in all but two league games.
