Alan Hutton has suggested only a "massive" bid could prise Kalvin Phillips from Leeds United this summer.

The former Scotland defender, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, suggested "loads of teams" would be scouting the "fantastic" 25-year-old at the Euros.

Phillips started and contributed the assist for Raheem Sterling's goal in the 1-0 win over Croatia on Sunday.

He now has nine international appearances under his belt

The Leeds-born midfielder has caught the eye for both club and country over the last 12 months.

Hutton suggested there would be plenty of suitors keeping close tabs on his performances for England.

However, he admitted he could not put a figure on just how much Phillips would cost.

Hutton told Football Insider's Russell Edge: "There'll be loads of teams watching him.

"There's obviously people looking at him thinking: 'Right, we've got a young midfielder, broken into the England team, absolutely outstanding.'

"But the figure? Try put a figure on his head. I couldn't. The fee could be massive. I just think he's an absolutely fantastic player.

"You could see when you watch Leeds, he had a couple niggly injuries throughout the season. When he wasn't playing, they weren't the same team."

Phillips made 29 Premier League appearances following the Whites' promotion from the Championship last year.

He missed three games between October and November with a shoulder injury and four in February with a calf problem.

In total, he has played 211 times for his boyhood club to date.
