Paul Robinson has lauded David Moyes after it was revealed West Ham have scored from 29 set pieces in his second spell in charge.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Spurs and England goalkeeper said the 58-year-old deserves "a huge amount of credit" for the stat as it is down to hard work on the training ground.

Angelo Ogbonna scored from a corner on Sunday to hand the Hammers all three points at Everton.

The goal was the 29th scored from a set piece since Moyes' first game back in charge of the Irons in January 2020.

When asked by Football Insider's Dylan Childs for his assessment of the stat, Robinson said:

"Moyes deserves a huge amount of credit because set plays win and lose you football matches. You cannot underestimate their importance.

"We have seen Jurgen Klopp even bring in specialists to help Liverpool out with their set pieces.

"Nobody has scored more than West Ham since Moyes has taken over because he clearly works very hard on that area.

"That is his job. He doesn't need to employ extra staff to do it for him.

"There's no secret. It's hard work and time on the training ground. Moyes deserves a lot of credit for it."
