Rangers’ board are being blamed for the unrest that is taking place off the pitch amid a turbulent season for the Scottish giants.

Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, former Tottenham goalkeeper Paul Robinson admitted people “wonder who’s making the decisions on the manager’s future” at the moment.

Clement’s future has been brought into question recently as Rangers sit in third place after the opening 10 games of the season, trailing Celtic by nine points already.

However, there is just as much unrest taking place off the pitch due to the financial issues the club are facing at the moment.

Rangers are currently in turmoil on and off the pitch

“The loss to Aberdeen would be disappointing,” Robinson told Football Insider.

“The fact that they are so many points off Celtic, where they're not where they want to be, but there's so much more unrest at Rangers off the field.

“The club ownership, the boardroom with the manager, you wonder who's making the decisions on the manager's future.

“They're certainly not where they want to be; every game is a big game for Philipp Clement at the moment for his future.

“If he's not getting the results, there's always going to be questions asked.

“He's got to pull things around consistently because you think that they've just turned the corner, and then results turn again.

“Players' performances have been indifferent, basically, they just haven't been good enough this season, and inevitably the starts with the manager.”
