Rangers head hunters consider five managers for job, one is top-flight miracle man - report
Rangers head hunters have a five-man list of who could be their next manager at Ibrox, according to a report.
The Telegraph claims that as well as Steven Gerrard, the Light Blues are considering a number of alternatives to succeed Graeme Murty in the Ibrox hotseat with it looking almost inevitable that the former Under-20s coach will not be in charge next term.
Murty was told he would remain in charge until the end of the campaign in December after the club failed in their pursuit of Aberdeen's Derek McInnes when he snubbed the chance to succeed Pedro Caixinha.
It is now understood that Rangers directors have reached out to Gerrard's representatives after it was widely reported that chairman Dave King had attended Liverpool's Champions League win against Roma on Saturday.
However the Liverpool academy coach is not the only man who is being considered to become the next permanent Rangers manager with four more seemingly on the club's shortlist.
Here, Football Insider lists who else is reportedly wanted by the Gers.

Alex Neil
Preston manager Alex Neil is said to be one of the managers who has attracted attention from the Ibrox boardroom.
Neil, 36, has already achieved a decent amount in his short career.
He earned Hamilton's first win away against Celtic in 76 years before leaving for Norwich, where he helped them earn promotion to the Premier League in his debut season.
Neil, who is rumoured to be a Celtic supporter, has been in charge of Preston since last summer.

Steve Clarke
Kilmarnock manager Steve Clarke is also said to be under consideration by the Ibrox board after doing a stunning job at Rugby Park this season.
He has taken Killie from bottom of the Scottish Premiership to the top-six thanks to the sensational form of players like Kris Boyd, Youssouf Mulumbu and Jordan Jones.
Clarke has also had spells at West Brom and Reading.
During his time at The Hawthorns, he guided the Baggies to their highest-ever Premier League finish in his only full season when they ended up eighth in 2013.

Neil Warnock
Neil Warnock may not be one of the most popular managers in English football, but according to the Telegraph, he is under consideration to replace Murty at Ibrox.
The Cardiff City manager has overachieved in South Wales this season and has had his side in and among those challenging for automatic promotion to the Premier League.
Warnock has previously had spells at Sheffield United, Crystal Palace, Leeds United and Rotherham.

Graham Potter
The fourth manager said to be attracting attention from Ibrox is Ostersunds boss Graham Potter.
The 42-year-old has worked miracles in Sweden, taking charge of Ostersunds while they were in the fourth-tier in 2011 all the way to the top-flight, a domestic cup win and the Europa League knock-out rounds.
His side beat Arsenal 2-1 away at the Emirates earlier this year, however they would be knocked out of Europe due to a heavy home defeat.
