Rangers fans are laughing after former Celtic boss Neil Lennon was sacked by Rapid Bucharest after a string of poor performances and controversy.

Lennon was appointed as Rapid boss in May 2024 and has lasted just over three months in the role despite having signed a two-year contract.

His side, who finished sixth last time out, has slid to 12th in the table after picking up five draws and a defeat in their opening six games of the season.

They remain the only side in the league yet to record a victory so far.

Since then, there has been no improvement to his side's form and the former Celtic man has now been dismissed from his role.

There is no love lost between Lennon and the supporters at Ibrox, dating back to his outbursts and accusations towards them during his spell at Parkhead.

The long-standing tension between the pair continued to grow recently amid suggestions that he had blocked the transfer of Rapid Bucharest striker Albion Rrahmani to Rangers.

Following his dismissal, fans flocked to social media to gloat in light of both the team's poor performances and the recent controversy surrounding him.
