'Hopeless' - Rangers fans rage over Nicholl decision for clash v Aberdeen

Published on

Rangers caretaker manager Jimmy Nicholl has decided to make one change to his side to face Aberdeen at Pittodrie in the Scottish Premiership - and fans are raging over Jason Holt's continued inclusion in the starting XI ahead of the likes of Sean Goss and Greg Docherty.

Ross McCrorie has returned to the side at the expense of Jason Cummings as the Gers look to climb above the Dons into second place in the league table.

The Ibrox giants confirmed the team news on their official Twitter account ahead of the potentially season-defining clash.

Gers fans were left wondering what Docherty had to do to get back into the starting XI - with one saying Holt is "hopeless."

Here are some of their comments on Twitter:

McCrorie was a half-time substitute in Saturday's 1-0 win over Kilmarnock and Nicholl seems to have kept faith with the duo as the Gers look to overturn the Dons' one-point advantage in the Scottish Premiership table.

A win for the Gers would mean that a point against Hibernian on the final day of the season would be enough to secure second, thanks to the Light Blues' much-superior goal difference.

The Light Blues will face fourth-placed Hibernian in their final game on Sunday.
