Rangers fans have torn into Cyriel Dessers after his "unforgivable" performance during their Scottish Premiership loss against Kilmarnock.

Philippe Clement's side were stunned by a disappointing 1-0 defeat at Rugby Park which saw them fall even further behind Celtic and Aberdeen in the table after they drew 2-2 on 19 October.

As a result of their inability to find the net, much of the blame rested on Dessers once again after the 29-year-old failed to make an impact in his key role leading the line.

Throughout the game, the striker failed to hold the ball up and bring his teammates into play, and provided very little threat in front of goal.

Among numerous errors and frustrating decisions, one which left Rangers fans seething came as he failed to slot a simple pass to Nedim Bajrami on the counter-attack.

As images of the passage of play were shared on social media, supporters couldn't believe what they were seeing, and they made their grievances known.

So far this season, Dessers has scored just three goals in eight league appearances despite having started and played the majority of minutes in seven of those games.

However, he remains the first-choice option to lead the line under Clement, with new arrival Hamza Igamane consistently named on the bench despite impressive cameo displays.

As a result, the travelling supporters have taken to social media to air their criticisms of the striker as he was labelled "embarrassing" and the "worst striker I've ever seen".
