Rangers are ready to swoop for Tottenham's Dominic Ball and Leicester's Michael Kelly as they prepare for life in the Scottish Premiership next season, according to a report.

Ball, 20, has enjoyed a hugely successful season with Rangers on loan from parent club Spurs and has lifted the Scottish Championship trophy and the Petrofac Cup.

A report in the Scottish Sun claims Rangers have been so pleased with Ball's contribution that Mark Warburton is keen to make the highly rated youngster's stay permanent.

Kelly, who began his career at Scottish club Aberdeen, has slowly been working his way up the Foxes' youth development squads and has caught the eye of Rangers in the process.

Rangers are reportedly interested in acquiring both of the youngsters' signatures when the summer transfer window opens in July.

Howeverm The Sun report that Rangers are willing to compromise when it comes to Ball and would be happy with another season-long loan deal.

Ball began life at Rangers as a centre-back, but has since moved further forward into the defensive midfielder role.

The switch has been a success for the youngster as he has played a crucial part in Rangers' second-tier triumph and progress to the Scottish Cup final.

The Englishman revealed recently that he models himself off Tottenham's own defender turned midfield anchor, Eric Dier and has admitted that he would be open to remaining with Rangers for another season.

Kelly would also beef up the Rangers' youth set-up, as the Gers ready themselves for the added demands of top flight Scottish football.

In other Rangers news, Warburton has given a fitness update on his top goalscorer ahead of the Scottish Cup final.
