Former Rangers striker Kenny Miller looks set to continue his playing career and could come up against his old side in the Premiership, as he prepares for talks with St Mirren.

According to the Daily Record, Alan Stubbs, who won promotion last season by winning the Championship, is set for talks with Miller on Wednesday as he bids to persuade him not to take the player/manager role at Livingston.

Miller was devastated after the manner of his departure from Rangers, at the end of last month.

He was fined and suspended after a dressing room incident following the Scottish Cup semi-final defeat to Celtic last April.

However, he is determined to carry on his playing career, and that could now be back in the Premiership with St Mirren.

He will meet Stubbs for talks on Wednesday morning but is also said to have an offer from Aberdeen, with both Hibs and Motherwell said to be keen too.

The Daily Record claims that the Livingston player/manager job is still Miller's preferred option.
