West Ham are not ruling out the prospect of recalling Grady Diangana from West Brom over the next week, Football Insider understands.

The Premier League club have another six days to activate a mid-season recall clause in the season-long loan deal agreed with the Championship high flyers last August.

A West Ham source has told Football Insider that the club are keeping their options over Diangana and are yet to make a definitive decision.

The preference of the Londoners and manager David Moyes is for Diangana to remain at West Brom for the remainder of the campaign.

But injuries to Michail Antonio and Andriy Yarmolenko could lead to a change of heart, as could serious issues any of the senior attackers in the coming days.

West Ham are in the market for a new centre-forward this month and are working on number of targets.

Although Diangana is not an orthodox front man, he offers an option in the key attacking positions where the Hammers have struggled to be consistently effective this season.

He initially took the Championship by storm with a series of dazzling performances earlier in the campaign.

But his form tailed off a little before he suffered a hamstring injury that has sidelined him for the last five West Brom games.

West Ham are able to trigger Diangana's release clause in the first two weeks of the winter window.

Diangana has been playing predominantly on the left wing for West Brom, a position usually occupied by Felipe Anderson at the London Stadium.
