Declan Rice is set to snub elite-club interest this summer and remain at West Ham, Football Insider understands.

The England international, 20, has been the subject of interest from leading Premier League clubs after a breakthrough campaign that ended with him in the national side.

A source with knowledge of the player's situation has told Football Insider that Manchester United and Chelsea have both registered their interest in the player this window.

But Rice is settled and happy in east London and will snub the overtures of the Premier League big guns to commit to West Ham for another season.

This is a massive transfer boost for Manuel Pellegrini as he looks to strengthen his team and build upon last season's 10th-place Premier League finish.

Rice had an outstanding campaign after being transformed into a midfield anchorman by the Chilean manager, starting 34 league matches among his 38 appearances in all competitions.

This led to widespread praise from fans and observers, as well as his first England caps following the youngster's switch of allegiance from the Republic of Ireland.

"He is a fabulous talent with a massive future ahead of him," ex-England defender Danny Mills told Football Insider. "He is young and still has a lot to learn, as he's not played Champions League football or much international football.

"He has to go through that learning process, but I've no doubt about him in the slightest. He'd be the perfect signing for so many clubs looking at a getting a midfielder this summer."
