Richarlison has taken to social media with a new message for Everton fans as rumours circle around a potential return to Merseyside.

The Brazilian's move to North London backfired completely, having only made 85 appearances since the summer of 2022, and notched only 20 goals and 10 assists during that time.

Injuries have played a massive part in his downfall, which is why many supporters believe Richarlison could be set to depart Tottenham for a dramatic return to the Toffees.

He was a favourite figure at Goodison Park, having registered 53 goals and 14 assists in 152 appearances with his former team, and the striker continues to share posts on social media to fuel the current rumours.

Richarlison could make dramatic return to Everton this summer

Taking to Instagram stories (2 May), Richarlison shared a video of an incredible Everton mural, one which includes the current Tottenham forward, captioned with two blue hearts as the final home game at Goodison Park nears.

With rumours linking the Brazilian with a move back to Merseyside, many supporters have read into his story and are putting him on their wishlists ahead of the summer transfer window.

David Moyes must replace Dominic Calvert-Lewin ahead of new Everton era

Football Insider verdict

With Jordan Pickford, Jarrad Branthwaite and James Tarkowski likely to make up the backline next season, defence has rarely been an issue during Moyes' much-improved reign so far.

Therefore, improving in the final third must be top of the list of priorities this summer, with Everton already being warned against a new Dominic Calvert-Lewin deal.

While Beto's resurgence has taken many by surprise, it can be argued that he has still not proven himself capable of leading the Toffees up the Premier League table and challenging for promotion.

Although battling relegation has been on the cards for most of the last few seasons, The Friedkin Group will be keen to move the club forward, which includes fighting against Europe's most elite.

The American franchise have managed exactly that with Serie A side AS Roma, and with their pockets lined ahead of the summer transfer window, supporters have every right to get excited.
