Rico Henry has reacted emotionally to the confirmed news of a major exit at Brentford ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.
It has been a very difficult journey for the left-back at the Gtech Community Stadium, who has missed the majority of the last two seasons via multiple devastating injury setbacks.
With just six appearances to his name in 2024/25, the Bees saw Keane Lewis-Potter adapt to the left-back role, quickly becoming one of the most integral members of the squad.
The defender is likely to have played a bigger role behind the scenes, acting cheerleader in the dressing room while working his way back to full fitness, and it was a positive season for the club.
Having finished 10th in the Premier League table, European qualification was just out of reach for the Bees, and next season could be even more difficult following the exit of Thomas Frank.

The 51-year-old manager has been an incredible figure at Brentford, not just for his achievements on the pitch, but also for his impact in the surrounding community.

It will not be an easy task to replace the most recent manager, however, with Frank making a dent in the surrounding area as well as the Gtech Community Stadium itself.
While 10th is not the Bees' best Premier League finish under the Danish figure, finishing one spot higher in 2022/23, there was a sense of something building within the four walls at Brentford.
The owners, though, will need to hit the reset button following the manager's move to Tottenham, possibly taking Bryan Mbeumo to North London along with him this summer.
