Riyad Mahrez sends two-word message to Jamie Vardy after Leicester development
Leicester icon Riyad Mahrez took to social media to send a message to former teammate Jamie Vardy after their 2-1 Premier League win over Tottenham on Sunday (January 26).
Vardy, 38, bagged the equaliser just after half-time before pointing at the Premier League badge on his sleeve in front of the Tottenham fans, in reference to the fact he has one more title than they do.
Richarlison opened the scoring for Ange Postecoglu's injury-hit Tottenham side, latching on to Pedro Porro's pin-point cross.
The veteran striker restored parity in the 46th minute before Bilal El Khannouss rounded off the scoring just four minutes later.
Leicester's 2-1 away win over Tottenham sees them move out of the relegation zone for the first time in 2025, sitting in 17th with four wins, five draws, 14 defeats, and 17 points from their 23 Premier League games.

Vardy has once again been key for Leicester this season, starting all 22 of his games across all competitions, scoring eight goals, and providing three assists in his 1786 minutes of action.
Mahrez, 33, who was also integral to Leicester's fairytale 2015-16 Premier League-winning side, is currently plying his trade for Al Ahli in Saudi Arabia.
The winger took to Instagram to respond to Vardy's most recent post celebrating the win over Tottenham, simply saying: "Never change."
Ruud van Nistelrooy's side have the opportunity to put further distance between themselves and the relegation zone as they prepare for a trip to Everton on Saturday (February 1).
The former United interim manager will then face his former club in the FA Cup fourth round six days later.
