Rob Green has described Leeds as a "monster of a club" ahead of their Championship encounter against Norwich on Saturday.

The former Canary has overseen Leeds' rapid return to form between the Elland Road sticks, and wants fans to continue being the 12th man as the busy Christmas period looms.

Speaking to Leeds official Twitter account ahead of Saturday's clash, Green claimed that if fans continue to attend matches at Elland Road then it can generate a fiery and intimidating atmosphere for opponents.

Ex-England international Green is set to start over Italian Marco Silvestri in goal for Garry Monk's side, as they welcome the 36-year-old's former side to Elland Road.

Green played 241 times for the canaries during his decade at Carrow Road, after keeping a clean sheet in his debut against fierce rivals Ipswich in April 1999 during a 0-0 draw.

Now, 17 years later, Green is set to face the club that gave him a chance all those years ago as Leeds look to continue their impressive form.

A win against Alex Neil's side will see Monk triumph for a second time against Norwich in two weeks, after beating the East Anglia outfit on penalties in the fourth round of the EFL Cup.

Three points could see Leeds move into the playoffs, as they sit one point off sixth placed Bristol City.
