Snodgrass: West Ham players really unhappy about 29-year-old

Robert Snodgrass has claimed that West Ham’s recently-departed Dimitri Payet was not a team player towards the end of his time at the club and his teammates were "really unhappy" with his conduct.
The 29-year-old secured a switch to the London Stadium in January after Payet left for Marseille, but Snodgrass has said to The Sun that he is nothing like the ex-West Ham star.
The Hammers winger believes that he is a team player and he should not be compared to Payet, who moved to Marseille for £25million last month.
Slaven Bilic splashed £10.2million to buy Snodgrass from Hull to fill an empty space in his side.
“I’m totally different to Payet because he was playing like an individual towards the end of his time at West Ham and the lads weren’t too happy about that,” Snodgrass said.
“The rest of the team were coming in every day and working as hard as they possibly could and wanted someone alongside them who was giving everything.
“That is exactly the kind of player I am. As soon as I came through the door they could see that I don’t leave everything in the tank.”
Snodgrass took part in West Ham’s 1-1 draw against Watford on Saturday in what was his fourth appearance for the club.
The Scotland international was in great form for Hull in the first half of the season as he scored nine goals in 24 games in all competitions for the Tigers.
He has also had previous spells at Livingstone, Leeds and Norwich.
Payet, on the other hand, didn’t take long to adjust when he moved back to Marseille.
The Frenchman scored a trademark free-kick on his league return to the Stade Velodrome and has since played five games for the Ligue 1 club.
Marseille's latest addition couldn't make the impact at West Ham this season as he did last year and only scored three goals in all competitions for the Hammers in the first half of the season.
