Senior attacking duo axed in five changes: This Everton XI will destroy West Ham
COMMENT
David Unsworth must make five changes for the West Ham game to field his best possible XI, and axe players who have failed to perform for Everton this season.
There were several senior figures who were woeful in the Toffees' 4-1 defeat to Southampton on Sunday, and they've proved they can't be relied upon.
The game against the Hammers is absolutely crucial, with Everton just two points clear of West Ham in the relegation zone. A defeat would see them drop further into a relegation battle they don't seem equipped for.
Unfortunately, Everton have several injury and suspension issues going into the game and Unsworth will have to make some enforced changes too.
Unsworth has won only one league game so far, a 3-2 victory over Watford, and he'll know his side goes up against a West Ham team buoyed by a point against Leicester City on Friday.
That was David Moyes' first point in charge of West Ham and his return to Goodison will act extra frisson to a crunch bottom of the table clash.

Goalkeeper and defenders
Jordan Pickford (Goalkeeper) - Despite Everton's terrible defensive record, the goalkeeper can still hold his head up high, unlike a lot of his teammates. He is one of the only guaranteed starters based on performances.
Cuco Martina (Left-back) - With Leighton Baines injured, even the best option available for the game against West Ham is probably a risky one. The 28-year-old was not in squad for the Southampton game, so hopefully that motivates him to play above and beyond to stay in the team, despite being out of position.
Ashley Williams (Centre-back) -The defender's performances have been dismal this season and if Everton had more depth in this position the 33-year-old would not make the bench, let alone start. However, as it stands, Unsworth is just going to have to hope that the Williams from last season turns up on Wednesday, as he is the best available.
Phil Jagielka (Centre-back) - The captain is capable of putting in a passionate performance for the club he has been at for the last 10 years, and his display will be vital.
Jonjoe Kenny (Right-back) - The young defender had to deal with playing out of position for majority of the Southampton game, and he deserves the opportunity to better that second-half performance by starting on the right against the Hammers.

Midfield
Ademola Lookman (Left-midfield) - The left winger has the potential to be a nightmare for any team on his day and he's worth starting after the way he performed for Unsworth in the win against Watford.
Idrissa Gueye (Centre-midfield) - The midfielder has an important job and an Everton team without him for a crunch game like this would be much weaker.
Beni Baningime (Centre-midfield) - He is young but Unsworth needs passion as well as experience in his team, and the 19-year-old midfielder looks more than up for a battle compared to some senior stars at Everton.
Aaron Lennon (Right-midfield) - The midfielder wants to make the most of his playing time and will give his all for Everton.

Forwards
Gylfi Sigurdsson (Attacking-midfield) - After scoring against Southampton, despite being stuck out on the left, the attacking midfielder would have more of a chance of grabbing goals if played in the correct position. The West Ham game is important so it's best that Sigurdsson plays through the middle on this occasion. Kevin Mirallas doesn't deserve to start after his display against Southampton.
Wayne Rooney (Striker) - After returning to Everton, it hasn't been the fairytale the former England international would have dreamed of. However, he is a proven goalscorer, he is experienced and he is definitely passionate about Everton, and that's three qualities the Toffees are going to need in their match against West Ham. He should start in place of Domini Calvert-Lewin.
