Aberdeen, Birmingham, QPR and Rotherham are in a race to sign Luton Town midfielder Allan Campbell before the close of the transfer window, sources have told Football Insider.

Campbell is currently out on loan with Championship side Millwall, meaning the Hatters would have to recall him before a new move can be sanctioned.

It is believed the Championship strugglers and the Scottish side are keen on signing the midfielder and have registered their interest to Luton.

The 25-year-old has made 12 appearances for the Lions this season but has not featured since their mid-December draw against Huddersfield Town.

He was a mainstay for Luton in their promotion-winning campaign last season having made 38 starts for Rob Edwards' side.

The Scotsman's versatility has allowed him to play in attacking midfield, central midfield, defensive midfield as well as on the right this season.

He moved to Luton in 2021 from Motherwell and has made 86 appearances for the Hatters, scoring seven goals and providing four assists.

Campbell had been a regular for Scotland's under-21s and earned his first senior appearance in 2022 in a 4-1 win against Armenia in the Nations League.
