Arsenal are considering a return for long-term target Pedro Neto in the summer window, sources have told Football Insider.

It is believed that the Gunners are monitoring the 23-year-old Wolves star's situation as he makes a steady comeback from yet another long-term injury.

A well-placed source has told Football Insider that Arsenal will be in the market for another winger in the off-season as they target a backup for star man Bukayo Saka.

However, a move for Neto would represent something of a surprise considering his limited impact over the past two seasons.

The Portugal international has failed to score or assist across 17 Wolves appearances this season - and notched just one strike in the 2021-22 campaign.

He missed a huge part of last season with a serious knee injury and was consigned to the sidelines for a long spell yet again in the 2022-23 season with an ankle problem.

The former Lazio ace, who joined Wolves for a reported fee of almost £16million in 2019, has four years left to run on his contract.

Arsenal were reportedly interested in signing the winger last summer (2022) but were put off by his £50million price tag.

Neto's best return in English football came in the 2020-21 season when he notched five goals and six assists in 35 appearances across all competitions.

He earns a reported wage of £50,000-a-week at Molineux.

Arsenal

Neto is just one target on a long shortlist for Arsenal, who will have Champions League football to help lure their top targets to the club.
