Derby County have agreed to sign Tottenham midfielder Harvey White, sources have told Football Insider.

The League One outfit have fended off competition from West Brom, Luton, Oxford United and Barnsley to take the Spurs 21-year-old on loan for the rest of the season.

White is headed to Derby to undergo a medical and complete the formalities of the move.

Spurs gave the green light earlier in the window for White to be loaned out and his availability has alerted a host of second and third-tier clubs.

Championship duo West Brom and Luton as well as League One's Oxford United and Barnsley registered their interest in late-window deals.

But Derby County have provided the most compelling offer for White, who is keen to get regular first-team football to give lift-off to his senior career.

Born in Kent, the young midfielder joined Spurs' academy as a youngster and worked his way through the youth setup before being handed a professional contract in 2020.

He made his senior debut for Spurs in November 2020 after coming on as a substitute in a Europa League match against Ludogrets Razgrad.

His first start for the North London club came just a couple of months later when he was named in the starting XI for an FA Cup tie against Marine.

But further first-team opportunities became hard to come by and White was sent out on loan to Portsmouth for a six-month stint at the end of the 2021/22 season.

He made 21 league appearances while out on loan and scored once, while also playing a part in Portsmouth's runners-up finish in the EFL Trophy.
