Everton midfielder Allan has opened talks to join Al-Wahda in the next fortnight, sources have told Football Insider.

The Brazilian, 31, has been given the green light to leave Goodison Park two years after joining from Napoli for £21million.

Negotiations are underway over Allan joining Al-Wahda before the United Arab Emirates window shuts on 4 October.

Everton

Allan has yet to figure in the Premier League so far this season and was left out of the matchday squad for last weekend's win over West Ham.

He is well down the pecking order in Frank Lampard's plans and Everton are happy for him to leave.

Al-Wahda are coached by former Sheffield Wednesday and Swansea boss Carlos Carvalhal and they are offering Allan an escape route with the transfer window open for another 14 days.

Everton have refreshed their midfield this summer with the signings of James Garner, Amadou Onana, and Idrissa Gueye.

Alex Iwobi has also impressed in an unfamiliar central midfield berth and is reportedly in talks over a new contract at Goodison Park.

Allan followed former Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti to Goodison Park from Napoli in 2020.

The 10-time Brazil international has made 57 appearances for the Toffees but is yet to score his first goal in English football.

Everton

Everton picked up their first win of the new campaign against West Ham on Sunday (18 September).

The Merseysiders head into the international break in 13th place after registering seven points from their opening seven games.
