Lincoln, MK Dons, Burton, Leyton Orient and Carlisle have made enquiries about signing Crystal Palace forward John-Kymani Gordon, sources have told Football Insider.

The striker, 19, is highly regarded at Palace and was rewarded with a new contract earlier this month.

League One trio Lincoln, MK Dons and Burton plus League Two pair Leyton Orient and Carlisle have registered their interest in taking Gordon on loan in January.

The forward has been named in the Palace squad for Premier League games this season after scoring 11 times in his first eight games of 2022-23, which earned the September Premier League 2 Player of the Month award.

Gordon has been at Palace for over a decade and signed his first professional deal in the summer of 2020.

His breakthrough development season came in 2021-22 after he made 23 appearances in the Premier League 2, scoring three times as his side finished fifth.

Gordon demonstrated his versatility in those games, playing all across the front three though he has mainly been used as a left winger this season.

More recently, the attacker joined the Crystal Palace first team on their winter training tour of Turkey, playing against both Napoli and Trabzonspor.

He has also made one appearance for the England Under-16 side.

Nine-man Palace were beaten 3-0 by Fulham in their first game back after the Qatar World Cup.

They sit 11th in the Premier League and are next in action against Bournemouth on New Year's Eve.
