Huddersfield Town are in talks to sign Norwich City striker Danel Sinani on loan, Football Insider understands.

The 24-year-old spent last season on loan with Belgian outfit Waasland-Beveren.

A recruitment source has told Football Insider Huddersfield are keen to take the striker on a temporary deal.

Sinnai is yet to make his senior debut for Norwich after moving from Luxembourgish club F91 Dudelange in April 2020.

He was loaned out to Waasland-Beveren four months later before the Championship season started.

The Luxembourg international still has three years left to run on his Canaries contract.

He scored four times and provided an assist in 21 games across all competitions last season as Waasland-Beveren suffered relegation from Belgian First Division A.

It is unlikely he would be able to make an impact for Norwich next season after they earned promotion back to the Premier League.

Club icon Teemu Puki scored 26 goals in 41 Championship games as the club romped to the title.

Jordan Hugill and youngster Adam Idah also chipped in with seven goals between them.

Meanwhile, Gassan Ahadme, 20, has moved to League One club Portsmouth on loan for the season.

He has made an instant impact on the south coast and already has eight goals in four pre-season games.

Huddersfield will be hoping Sinnai can have a similar impact in Yorkshire.

Carlos Corberan's side finished last season in 20th-place, just six points above the relegation zone.
