Man United are struggling to find a buyer for frozen-out attacker Jadon Sancho in January, sources have told Football Insider.

The 23-year-old has been exiled from the United squad since falling out with manager Erik ten Hag and has been told to find a new club in the upcoming window.

But sources have told Football Insider that his "huge" wages are a "massive" hurdle for the club's ability to shift him permanently off their books.

Man United

Sancho is reportedly earning £250,000-per-week at Man United and it is believed that primary interest in him is coming from Saudi Arabian clubs.

However, many Saudi Pro League sides already have their foreign player quotas filled meaning a move to the Middle East will be difficult to pull off in the January window.

Finding a buyer for the former Borussia Dortmund ace is a big issue for United, who are eager to raise funds to spend in the January transfer window.

The £73million attacker has been training away from the first team since he took to social media to reject Ten Hag's claim that he was not meeting expectations at Carrington.

Man United

The Englishman made just three outings this season and has generally underwhelmed since his 2021 move, having scored just 12 goals across 82 appearances.

Man United sit seventh in the Premier League table after their sensational comeback in their 3-2 win against Aston Villa and next face Nottingham Forest away on Saturday evening (30 December).
