Liverpool and Tottenham are set to go head-to-head for the signing of Evan Ndicka this summer, sources have told Football Insider.

The 23-year-old is set to leave Eintracht Frankfurt in the summer upon the expiration of his contract, making him a free agent.

The French centre-back fits the ideal profile for both Liverpool and Spurs this summer, and the Premier League giants are both set to make contract proposals at the end of the season.

Ndicka has become a crucial part of the current Frankfurt team, with his physical attributes making him a powerhouse player in both boxes.

He stands at 6ft 3" and has clocked a top speed of 34.37km/h according to the official Bundesliga stats.

Ndicka has made 38 total appearances for Frankfurt across all competitions in the 202/23 season, scoring once and assisting once.

He played in every minute of Frankfurt's Champions League campaign up until they were knocked out of the tournament by Napoli last month.

Ndicka primarily plays as a left-sided centre-back - a position that both Liverpool and Spurs are eager to improve this summer.

Tottenham in particular could be left short at the back if Clement Lenglet does not complete a permanent move to North London from parent club Barcelona.

Liverpool are also on the lookout for young defensive options with both Joel Matip and Virgil van Dijk entering the twilight years of their career.
