West Ham are ready to reinvest most of the fee received for captain Declan Rice in the summer window, sources have told Football Insider.

It is believed Irons chiefs are laying the groundwork for multiple top-bracket deals as the Londoners prepare to receive a British record transfer fee.

As per Sky Sports (30 June), Arsenal have agreed a £105million fee with West Ham for Rice after lengthy negotiations and competition from Man City.

It is claimed the two sides are still in talks about the payment structure.

However, the Irons captain is free to undergo a medical and discuss personal terms with the Gunners.

The Europa Conference League winners can now turn their attention to replacing Rice and bolstering their squad elsewhere.

However, a well-placed source has told Football Insider that the Irons could now be “priced out” of a move - with the Cottagers asking for a fee of £60million for the 27-year-old's services.

Meanwhile, sources also told Football Insider (30 June) that West Ham are considering a move for Juventus midfielder Denis Zakaria this summer - with the 26-year-old considered an "attainable" target.

Manager David Moyes is an admirer of the midfielder – who spent last term on loan at Chelsea – and feels there is a deal to be done for his services.

It is believed West Ham are keen to add reinforcements in attack and defence as well as securing a direct replacement for Rice.

The England international, who graduated from the club's academy, made 50 appearances across all competitions last term - notching five goals and four assists.
