Southampton star Tyler Dibling is attracting interest from "major" clubs in England as a result of his performances so far this season.

This is according to recruitment expert Mick Brown, who previously worked as a scout for the likes of Man United, Aston Villa and Tottenham, as he exclusively told Football Insider that "all of the big clubs" are keeping close tabs on the winger's progress.

This comes after Football Insider reported that Tottenham and Man United are among the clubs keeping an eye on his progress.

Dibling has established himself as a regular in Russell Martin's starting XI, playing both in his natural role on the wing and as a second striker.

The 18-year-old made his Premier League debut in a 1-0 defeat against Newcastle in August and scored his first goal for the club in a 1-1 draw with Ipswich Town.

However, that draw against a fellow newly promoted outfit remains their only point of the season, with alarm bells already ringing about possible relegation.

Should Southampton go down, Brown has claimed interested clubs will swoop for the talented youngster.

However, should the Saints find themselves relegated towards the end of the season, they will brace for interest in their young star.

Brown, who remains very well-connected within the game and has a wealth of experience in recruitment at top clubs, insisted Dibling has "definitely" attracted interest from top clubs who will be looking to capitalise on Southampton's struggles.

"There's definitely going to be interest in him," he told Football Insider.

"Everybody I speak to speaks very highly of him so we'll see if any clubs act on their interest.

"The major clubs in this country are always looking at clubs that might be going down and if they've got players who might become available.

"They'll be looking at the young players at all of the struggling clubs and wondering whether they could snatch one if they go down.

"You can bet your life there'll be interest from all of the big clubs who will be watching him closely.

"The same would be the case for any 18-year-old breaking into the first-team and doing well despite his club struggling.

"But I'm told clubs are definitely watching him and they'll be considering making a move next summer."
