Stan Collymore believes that Liverpool will reign supreme in their Merseyside derby clash against Everton at Anfield on Sunday afternoon.

Former Reds attacker Collymore has predicted that Jurgen Klopp's side will earn a 3-1 win over the Toffees, who will have Sam Allardyce in charge for his first ever Merseyside derby.

Three points for Liverpool could potentially see them move up to third in the Premier League table while Everton could drop as low as 16th from their current spot in 10th if results were to go against them this weekend.

Collymore delivered his weekend predictions on his personal Twitter account on Friday night.

Everton have had a miserable record against Liverpool in recent years so it's no wonder that Collymore has predicted that Klopp's side will win at Anfield this weekend.

The Blues' last win against the Reds came in 2010 when goals from Tim Cahill and Mikel Arteta earned them a 2-0 win at Goodison Park.

Everton's last win at Anfield though is much further back in 1995.

Allardyce has certainly steadied the ship at Goodison Park since arriving as manager.

He was in the stands as David Unsworth earned a 4-0 win over West Ham before winning against Huddersfield in his first game in the dug-out last week.

Craig Shakespeare took charge of the Europa League win against Apollon in midweek as Allardyce had to stay at home due to a medical procedure but will be back on Sunday for the Merseyside derby.
