Teenager Kristoffer Ajer has emerged as a mainstay of the backline while January signing Marvin Compper is yet to even make an appearance for the Hoops after his £1million move from RB Leipzig. Rangers are also struggling at centre-back after Danny Wilson's surprise exit from Ibrox in January. David Bates has been criticised for not having the quality to play for the Light Blues but the former Raith defender has been forced into becoming a mainstay at the back due to Graeme Murty's reluctance to use Pedro Caixinha's summer signings and reports that Ross McCrorie is out for the season. Speaking after the Gers' 2-0 win against Hearts on Saturday, Craigan has claimed that both of the Old Firm rivals are in the same boat when it comes to summer recruitment.
