Rangers are currently in a state of flux after sacking Philippe Clement after the weekend’s poor result against St Mirren.

The Scottish giants were beaten 2-0 by St Mirren and failed to capitalise on Celtic losing which ultimately led to Clement being fired.

It was a decision that had been coming as the Belgian coach was under mounting pressure due to frustrations from supporters.

The club have appointed former captain Barry Ferguson as the new manager until the end of the season, as he looks to steady the ship at Ibrox.

Rangers currently sit 13 points behind their Old Firm rivals in the Scottish Premiership and are already knocked out of the Scottish FA Cup.

However, Ferguson has the opportunity to achieve something special in the Europa League, where the Gers will play Fenerbahce in the next round.

Todd Cantwell took a dig at his former manager and dragged James Tavernier into it

Former Rangers midfielder Todd Cantwell seemingly reacted to the news on Instagram by sharing an image of a song called “Taliban” while capturing it: “Suns out so is our tune James Tavernier.”

The 26-year-old left Ibrox in the summer to join Blackburn Rovers after submitting a transfer request following a fallout with Clement.

Cantwell’s decision to bring the Rangers club captain into it hasn’t gone down well with fans, who have already called for Tavernier to be sold in the summer.

Whether Rangers fans wanted Clement to be fired or not, they are universal in their disgust at Cantwell’s post.
