Professional boxer and Everton fan Tony Bellew has raved about Dominic Calvert-Lewin on Twitter and has tipped the youngster to add more consistency to his game as he becomes more experienced.

Although it has been a poor start to the season for Everton, Calvert-Lewin's performances in the first-team has offered a lot for fans to be optimistic about.

The 20-year-old has been a regular part of the first-team under Ronald Koeman having featured at one point in every single match across all competitions this term.

Now, Bellew has tipped the young forward to go on to big things, believing the influence of Wayne Rooney could have a huge impact on his development, but he has suggested that he needs to put in more consistent displays.

"He’ll learn so much off Waz. DCL has so much talent and ability. Consistency comes with experience and time in.. this is good to see," he said on his personal Twitter account.

Calvert-Lewin has made 18 appearances across all competitions this season for Everton, scoring four goals and supplying three assists in the process.

After Koeman's sacking, caretaker boss David Unsworth continued to keep faith in the England Under-21 international, starting him in the League Cup clash with Chelsea earlier this week, in which he scored.

The Goodison Park rising star will no doubt want to keep his run of good form going when Everton return to Premier League action on Sunday at Leicester.
