Mousa Dembele and Danny Rose have given Tottenham a scare during the international break.

Dembele has struggled with ankle pain during training with Belgium, while Rose appeared to suffer a groin problem towards the end of the first half of England's friendly clash against Germany.

Spurs will be keen their key players get a clean bill of health before they return to the club ahead of next Saturday's Premier League clash against Tottenham.

Dembele has had a few niggling injuries this season and HLN reported on Saturday that the central midfielder sat out training on Friday to rest an ankle problem.

The former Fulham man returned to training on Saturday ahead of his country's friendly against Portugal on Tuesday, but was said to have been in some pain during the session.

Rose started England's friendly against Germany in Berlin on Saturday night but appeared to have a problem with his groin towards the end of the first half, which ended with the home side 1-0 ahead.

Four Spurs players started the clash against Joachim Low's team, with Harry Kane, Dele Alli and Eric Dier joining Rose in the starting X1.
