Tottenham board members are split over the decision to sack or support Ange Postecoglou amid mounting pressure on his position.

Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider's Inside Track Podcast, former Spurs goalkeeper Paul Robinson, who remains well-connected at the club, insisted once the pressure starts to build on Daniel Levy, he will pull the trigger.

This comes as a result of a dismal run of form for Postecoglou's side, who have won just one of their last ten Premier League games and have dropped to 15th place.

However, as things stand, the boss is set to remain in his position and will be given the chance to turn things around - despite the board being split over the decision.

Many supporters have begun to turn their attentions and frustrations towards Levy, criticising a lack of investment and backing for the manager which has led to their growing issues.

That, Robinson claimed, could push force the chairman to sack Postecoglou earlier than expected.

However, Robinson has insisted pressure on his position could prove too much before then amid calls for the boss to adapt and adjust his team to deal with the absences.

"If they're out of the League Cup, out of the FA Cup and they fall out of the Europa League, then there's a problem," he told Football Insider.

"They're sat 15th in the Premier League at the moment, with 12 defeats this season.

"I've always said I like him, I like the way he speaks and I like his honesty, but we're in a results business.

"You wonder where the backing in the boardroom is coming from.

"I hear it's split in the boardroom as to a decision on the manager's future. No other manager gets this long.

"You can go on all day about the injuries, but surely you've got to be a little bit more versatile and play in a different way.

"You have got to get results. He's bang under pressure.

"When the cameras start turning on Daniel Levy, as we said, we know what happens.

"If those competitions all of a sudden get taken away and Tottenham are still in 15th with a fourth-worst defeats record in the league, he's bang under pressure."
