'Tottenham exit caused by Ange Postecoglou clash emerges amid ongoing crisis'
Tottenham continue to go through an extensive injury crisis after a behind-the-scenes departure was sparked by a clash with manager Ange Postecoglou, reports The Athletic.
Geoff Scott, who was head of medicine and sport science, left in the Summer after a 20-year association with the club.
Scott reportedly left after clashing with Postecoglou over "how to manage the first-team squad’s workload and the recovery of injured players."
However, despite this information, the club insisted that the reason for Scott's departure was not due to a falling-out between the pair, but instead a "review and restructure of the department," led to him leaving.
Ben Davies, Heung-min Son, Richarlison, Wilson Odobert, Destiny Udogie, Micky Van de Ven, Timo Werner, Yves Bissouma , Pape Matar Sarr, Christian Romero and Dominic Solanke have all suffered injuries this season as Spurs sit in a disappointing 15th place in the Premier League table.

Injuries to players under the Australian come as no surprise, Postecoglou demands a high-level of intensity in training, but unlike his time at Celtic and Yokohoma Marinos, fitness issues have continued to plague the Spurs squad.
The most notable aspect to the fitness issues has been in defence, where an 18-year-old Archie Gray has been played out of position next to the unconvincing Radu Dragusin, because of the injuries to Romero and Van de Ven.
Whilst the former Leeds youngster has performed admirably, fielding a player who was brought in to develop in the coming seasons at the heart of your defence is a major problem.
Perhaps the biggest issue, is Postecoglou's unwillingness to change. His staunch belief that injuries because of his demanding training-style are only an issue in the first-season has led him to not have the majority of his starting 11 available to him.
Injuries have often been cited as a reason to not be critical of the Australian, but if it is his own stubbornness that have caused the crisis, perhaps it is time to start questioning if the former Celtic boss is suited to a Premier League job.
Spurs are now in a position where they are making signings to replace their injured stars, rather than to actually improve positions based on quality.
The North London side are now in the market for a new centre-back and a new striker as reported by Peter O'Rourke exclusively to Football Insider, because of the injuries suffered by Solanke, Van de Ven and Romero.
Goalkeeper Antonin Kinsky was also brought in this January to replace the injured Guglielmo Vicario.
