Tottenham fans have ripped into Emerson Royal after he was involved in a bust-up with Cristian Romero in their 4-2 loss to Liverpool on Sunday (5 May).

The Spurs defenders were spotted arguing with one another at the half-time whistle during their defeat at Anfield.

Spurs goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario was forced to intervene and keep the teammates from arguing further.

The visitors were losing 2-0 at the break through Mohamed Salah and Andy Robertson goals on Merseyside.

Tottenham fans rip into Royal after Romero incident

Cody Gakpo and Harvey Elliott added second half goals, with Richarlison and Son Heung-min then reducing the deficit.

Spurs supporters have taken to social media to express their anger, with senior man Royal particularly criticised.
