Tottenham are keeping close tabs on Ajax sensation Riechedly Bazoer, Football Insider sources understand.

The Dutch midfielder was in the Holland team that drew 1-1 with Republic of Ireland on Friday night, which was watched in person by Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino.

Pochettino was pictured sitting next to Pat Dolan, the agent of Republic and Southampton striker Shane Long, which immediately sparked speculation of a swoop for the in-form 29-year-old.

A well-placed Spurs source has told Football Insider that Spurs are also weighing up a summer move for highly-rated teenager Bazoer.

The 19-year-old was a mainstay of the Ajax team that narrowly missed out on the Eredivisie title in the recently completed domestic season.

He made 39 appearances for the Dutch giants over the course of the campaign, scoring five goals and supplying five assists from his central midfield role.

Pochettino, his assistant Jesus Perez and Spurs head of recruitment Paul Mitchell all attended the clash in Dublin, in which Bazoer played the full 90 minutes in midfield.

The Spurs chiefs were also casting an eye over striker Vincent Janssen, who plays for AZ Alkmaar and was the top scorer in the Eredivisie in 2015-16 with 27 goals.
