Tottenham fans have demanded the club send Timo Werner back to RB Leipzig after his performance against Tamworth in the FA Cup.

Spurs defeated Tamworth 3-0 after being pushed to extra time via an own goal by Nathan Tshikuna in the 101st minute and goals from Dejan Kulusevski and Brennan Johnson.

The 28-year-old struggled against the non-league side and failed to make much of an impact throughout the third-round fixture.

The Germany international was replaced after the opening 90 minutes which saw him miss two big chances.

Werner wasn’t accurate with any of his attempted crosses throughout the game and was only successful with 17 percent of his dribbles.

The winger also struggled from a defensive aspect as he won just one of his six attempted ground duels and wasn’t involved in any aerial duels.

Tottenham fans have seen enough of Timo Werner

Spurs initially signed Werner on loan from RB Leipzig in January 2024 for the remainder of the campaign, but the Premier League side extended it for the full 24-25 season with an option to buy him.

The former Chelsea star has struggled this season, scoring one goal and providing three assists in 27 appearances in all competitions.

Fans have now demanded that he is moved on as they claimed his performance against Tamworth was the “worst” they’ve ever seen.
