Paul Robinson has compared Tottenham striker Harry Kane to Kevin De Bruyne after Saturday's win over Aston Villa.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former White Hart Lane number one said the 28-year-old's vision is what "sets him apart from the rest."

Kane grabbed two assists in a 4-0 win at Villa Park on Saturday.

Only Trent Alexander-Arnold, Mohamed Salah, Andy Robertson and Paul Pogba have assisted more in the Premier League this season.

Speaking on Monday Night Football (4 April), ex-England and Man United star Wayne Rooney compared Kane to AS Roma legend Francesco Totti.

Robinson believes Kane could easily play in a deeper role.

"His vision is what sets him apart from the rest," he told Football Insider's Dylan Childs.

"He could quite easily play in a deeper role. When you look at the way Kevin De Bruyne plays, Kane could do that role no problem. His vision is that good. That is why he links up so well with Son and has so many assists.

"His goalscoring ability far outweighs his passing though. Wayne Rooney compared Kane to Francesco Totti and I think that is a really good comparison.

Tottenham

"Kane scores a bagful of goals but he is not just a goalscorer. He is so much more than that. It is his passing, his vision, his all-round game.

"He is one of, if not the best in Europe at the moment."
