Tottenham Euro rivals train in unusual surroundings ahead of Champions League clash

Bayer Leverkusen have decided to take training in the middle of Regent's Park ahead of their match against Tottenham on Wednesday night.

The Bundesliga giants are set to do battle with Mauricio Pochettino's side in front of more than 80,000 fans in the Group E clash, but decided to train in much quieter surroundings on Wednesday in north-west London.

Leverkusen revealed the set-up on their official Twitter account ahead of their Champions League encounter, as Javier Hernandez and co. look to complete a light session before the match.

The tweet translates: "Something different: we train while sweating in Regent's Park in London."

The two sides met back in October, with goalkeeper Ballon d'Or nominee Hugo Lloris denying the Bundesliga outfit three points with an unbelievable display.

Three points at Wembley for Spurs could see them move to the top of Group E if Monaco slip up against CSKA Moswcow, and to within touching distance of qualifying for the knockout phase.

Spurs will be without first-team stars Harry Kane and Toby Alderweireld, as manager Pochettino revealed they could return on Sunday against Arsenal. Doubts still remain over the availability of Erik Lamela, who is fighting illness.
