Trent Alexander-Arnold has already made up his mind on where his future lies amid speculation about a move from Liverpool to Real Madrid.

This is according to former Man United, Aston Villa and West Ham scout Mick Brown, who remains very well-connected within the game, as he exclusively told Football Insider that the club will have already been made aware of his decision.

The 26-year-old has been a crucial part of Arne Slot's table-topping side already this season, making 13 appearances across all competitions.

However, there is a growing feeling that this will be his final season at Anfield as, with less than a year remaining on his contract, he will be allowed to sign a pre-contract deal from January onwards.

Sources had previously suggested that his relationship with Madrid and England star Jude Bellingham has also played a key role in tempting him to move.

The former scout, who spent over a decade working with top players at Man United during their most successful period, insisted that the full-back is interested in joining Madrid and could now be set to make the move.

"I'm sure Trent Alexander-Arnold has already made his decision," he told Football Insider.

"If he's got the chance to go to Real Madrid, I think that's what he'll do.

"From what I've heard, that move is one that very much interests him and it's why he hasn't already re-signed with Liverpool.

"I think the club will already be aware of that decision, too. That's why nobody's heard much about any contract talks going on."
