Tyler Adams is keen to quit Leeds United this summer to play at a higher level, sources have told Football Insider.

However, the 24-year-old's current injury could complicate potential approaches for his signature - and is likely to impact his chances of leaving Elland Road.

Speaking on Saturday (22 July) and quoted by Leeds Live, new boss Daniel Farke confirmed Adams is likely to be out with injury until after the 2023-24 campaign’s first international break in September.

A well-placed source has told Football Insider that the midfielder is keen to continue to play at the highest level after his impressive first season in the Premier League.

It is believed Bundesliga clubs are monitoring the former RB Leipzig midfielder ahead of a possible return to Germany in the summer window.

Leeds have already lost Rodrigo, Robin Koch, Tyler Roberts, Joel Robles, Brenden Aaronson, Rasmus Kristensen and Marc Roca this summer.

Adams' current contract at Elland Road runs until 2027 following his reported £20million arrival from Leipzig last summer (2022).

He made 24 Premier League starts in 26 total appearances for Leeds in the 2022-23 campaign, amounting to 2293 minutes of action.

The former New York Red Bulls ace, who has been out with injury since March, captained the United States at the World Cup in Qatar and has made 36 total appearances for his country.
