Leeds United fans have taken to Twitter to annihilate Cameron Borthwick-Jackson for his performance in the 2-1 shock defeat to Newport County at Rodney Parade on Sunday. Thomas Christiansen's men let slip of a first-half lead created by Gateano Berardi's long-range strike to concede twice in the space of a few minutes before Samuel Saiz was shown a straight red card. Borthwick-Jackson, 20, was drafted in to start his first game since October when he was picked to play at left-back against the League Two side. However the Manchester United loanee did very little to show Christiansen that he deserves more chances than he is getting in the first-team with a lacklustre outing where he at times failed to cope with the Newport attack. One angry fan labelled the Leeds fringe player as "utter garbage" for his dire performance. Here is a selection of their tweets:

Borthwick-Jackson made his sixth appearance of the season for Leeds against Newport - however only one of them has come in the Championship.
