McAvennie 'can't believe' what I saw from 'fuming' Postecoglou in Celtic hammering
Celtic must give “lonely” Ange Postecoglou his own backroom team if they want to see real change.
That’s according to Parkhead icon Frank McAvennie, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the Hoops’ struggles.
Celtic have only won one of their last five games in all competitions, with the win coming against Raith Rovers in the cup.
The most recent loss was a 4-0 home hammering from German outfit Bayer Leverkusen, handing the Hoops’ chances of staying in the Europa League a big blow.
Postecoglou is yet to bring in any of his own staff since moving to the club in the summer.
John Kennedy remains the boss’ number two despite his poor spell as interim boss at the end of last season.

McAvennie was in attendance as the Hoops lost 1-0 to Livingston last month and shared what he saw from Postecoglou.
“I’m going to go on about this until the cows come home,” McAvennie told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“He needs his own number two in there and he isn’t getting it. There must be someone he can talk to.
“I watched him when they lost a few weeks ago and he cut a lonely figure on that touchline. I couldn’t believe it. He must be fuming.
“He was completely on his own, no one helping him. Postecoglou must want his own team, there’s no way he doesn’t.
“They are restricting him. There are a lot of problems at the club but that is one that can be fixed easily.”
Celtic face a trip to Aberdeen this weekend.
At most, the Hoops can only move up to fifth in the Premiership table with a win.
