McAvennie claims Griffiths has played his last game for Celtic after latest news
Frank McAvennie claims Leigh Griffiths has played his last game for Celtic.
The Parkhead icon, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, reacted to the latest on the striker.
Celtic confirmed Griffiths had joined Dundee on a season-long loan on deadline day (31 August).
The 31-year-old signed a one-year contract extension in July.
He was set to be out of contract at Parkhead before committing to the new deal.
McAvennie has consistently called for Griffiths to be given a bigger role at the club over the last few months.

Now he claims the 22-times international’s Parkhead career is over after his loan move was confirmed.
“I’m not really surprised he’s gone,” McAvennie told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“I have said numerous times that I think he can be useful to Postecoglou.
“He’s still the best finisher at the club and he was one of the old guard that wasn’t hammered last season.
“He barely played so he got away with it. When he did play I thought he was alright.
“Whatever happened in his personal life, I don’t know if that played a role, that will hang over him.
“It sounds like it’s all sorted but it still happened. I wish him the best of luck but it’s all sorted, he’s played his last game for Celtic.”
Griffiths scored seven times in 26 appearances for Celtic last season.
However, he did not make a single competitive appearance under Postecoglou before leaving Parkhead.
