McAvennie fumes as he's 'not having' Celtic response to 'big' Postecoglou news
Frank McAvennie has slammed the Celtic backroom staff after Ange Postecoglou won the manager of the month award.
The former Hoops hitman, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, didn’t like what he saw on social media in the aftermath of the announcement.
On 10 November, Postecoglou was awarded October’s Premiership manager of the month award.
During that month, the Hoops went unbeaten by winning four and drawing one of their five games.
This form helped to close the gap on Rangers and put Celtic firmly in the title race.
However, McAvennie has been left disappointed by how the club chose to celebrate their manager’s win.

This is due to the inclusion of Postecoglou’s backroom team in the photos celebrating his accolade.
“It’s big for Ange,” McAvennie told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“He’s had a good month and we have gone unbeaten, you can’t ask for more than that.
“Did you see the pictures? He was stood there with the award with his backroom staff.
“I’m not having that. They have done nothing. This is all down to him.
“I have said many times that Ange should have been allowed to bring his own team in when he joined.
“I think they are hindering him if anything. The club wants to show a united front, I get that.
“But this should be a moment for Agne to cherish, he’s doing so well at the moment.
“It’s his award, no one else’s.”
Celtic have closed the gap on Rangers to four points.
They have also guaranteed themselves European football after Christmas after back to back wins in the Europa League.
