McAvennie: Jota's family 'couldn't believe' what it's like at Celtic as he's besieged by women
Frank McAvennie claims Celtic need more players like Filipe Jota after his electric start to life at Parkhead.
The former Hoops hitman, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, admitted he has been blown away by the attacker’s form.
Jota has scored two goals and picked up two assists in seven outings since joining Celtic on loan from Benfica.
As he joined, the club confirmed they have the option to make the deal permanent.
He scored the winner as Celtic won their first away game in the Premiership since February with a 2-1 win over Aberdeen.
McAvennie wants the Hoops to buy more players like Jota going forward.

“He looks like he’s really enjoying himself,” McAvennie told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“His family have been over, they were up at the game and couldn’t believe the atmosphere. They loved it.
“We need more players like him. He’s a really good player and the fans have really taken to him.
“I’ve seen he’s taken lots of pictures with the women at Celtic, I think he looks a bit too much like George Michael but that’s just me.
“I’m joking of course because he can really play. You don’t play for a big club like Benfica if you aren’t talented.
“He’s a shining light and it looks like he’s really enjoying himself. The best players enjoy themselves and you can see that in their play.”
Jota made 34 appearances for the senior Benfica side before joining Celtic.
He needs just one more Celtic goal to match the tally he racked up for the Portuguese giants.
